Have a lovely long weekend, Everyone.
Below are a few ideas for the Memorial Day Weekend.
More can be found here:
Making burgers? Don’t forget to make these two condiments: secret sauce and quick-pickled red onions. Also, light brioche buns — so good.
Chicken souvlaki with tzatziki and cucumber salad is always a hit.
Or curried lamburgers with chutney mustard and Greek yogurt:
Not grilling? Try these ribs:
Or lobster rolls made with homemade tarragon mayonnaise:
Going meatless? These veggie burgers are made falafel style with soaked (not cooked!) chickpeas, cooked quinoa and grated zucchini. Serve with tahini sauce.
A few salads:
This one happens to be raw, vegan, gluten- and nut-free — don’t let that deter you.
Quinoa with radishes, walnuts and edamame:
A big Greek salad:
An old favorite: watermelon gazpacho:
A few desserts:

Looking at this list I realize how much of my cooking success is due to you and your recipes. I have made several of these recipes in just the past week and I plan on making others for this holiday weekend. My hamburgers wouldn’t be the same without your light brioche buns. So good! Thank you, Ali! Have a great weekend!
Thank you, Trish! You are too sweet. My contribution to the bbq on Monday is going to be those buns as well. And i’m trying a blueberry cobbler recipe from Cook’s Illustrated — can’t wait!
Holy food porn! Everything looks so fresh and clean and delicious!!!! WOW! I am in love! That little burger looks incredible! I kind of want to demolish everything on this page 🙂 have a wonderful holiday weekend!
Haha, thanks, Mila! And same to you.
With a spread like that, I would happily volunteer to be your beverage coordinator. =D Enjoy your weekend.
That would be amazing, Lisa! Enjoy your weekend as well 🙂
That pie looks delicious! What a great idea for memorial day. Every year I visit my grandparent’s headstones on memorial day that were veterans. That pie seems like a really cool patriotic way to honor them.
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek! Again your photography is wonderful!
Nancy
