Tumbleweed Wanderers

This time last week I was sitting in front of a fire with my aunt and uncle snuggling with two golden retrievers waiting for the rest of my family — my three parents, my sister and her family — to join us in VT. Later that evening we would head into Burlington to see my brother’s band, in town from Oakland for the night, play at Higher Grounds.
Friends, I am so proud of my baby bro (the drummer) — Tumbleweed Wanderers are amazing! I walked out of Higher Grounds with a t-shirt, a poster, and their latest album, which I have been playing on repeat all week.
Listen to this song. Go on, I’ll wait for you. It’s impossible not to listen to more than once. But there are so many good songs on the album. Like this one and this one and this one and this one.
If you live in NYC, they are performing tonight at the Mercury Lounge! So wish I could be there. Hope you all are having a great weekend.

I love all the songs you mentioned, especially “Bad Blood,” but even more I love “Don’t You Wanna Get Higher?” and “Ghost” on the Realize album.
Watson Messi, I like your style. And I like those songs, too.
streaming on Spotify right now 🙂 Wheeeee, they shred! And I see they’re playing in Seattle soon. It would be amazing if they made a Portland stop!
OMG STAHP! They are playing in Portland and I was already planning to be there! They’re opening for a local band I love (Tango Alpha Tango). This is so exciting! The world seems so small sometimes 🙂
