Minted Fabric + $150 Minted Giveaway

A little while ago, my dear friend Darcy, the source of all things stylish in the world, turned my attention to Fabric by Minted. I immediately fell in love with all of the designs but it wasn’t until last summer, when my parents moved and passed along a fabulous blue leather chair, that I had a real reason to seriously browse the Minted selection.
I took the opportunity to buy a few yards of the “spring beauties” pattern and found a local man to recover the seat cushion, which needed a little help. I’ve been happier ever since.
The success of the chair led me to buy a few yards of “minnow,” which I turned into a panel to cover the window of a door in our bedroom, and the success of this curtain has led me to search for a few more yards of another pattern to do the exact same thing to the door of our mudroom, but it’s so hard to decide! Aren’t the prints so much fun?
Minted is generously giving away a $150 gift certificate to one of you! Leave a comment below. Tell me what you would do with a few yards of Minted fabric on hand. Thank you, Minted, for the giveaway! UPDATE: Giveaway is closed. Winner is Celeste. Thank you, Everyone, for sharing so many great ideas. Loved reading all of them!!

It’s past time to make real curtains for our son’s room – we’ve been using an old blue sheet. Ack! I love that minnow print. 🙂
Wow! Such unique prints! Love the fish!
I have just moved into a new house that is an older home downtown where I live! It is beautiful and has the most amazing wood floors The windows are old and could absolutely use some beautiful material to make them even more amazing!
I just renovated my house and would use the fabric in a heartbeat to make new pillows for my chocolate couch and valences for the shade-less windows in the kitchen to warm up things and soften the lines.
LOVE the fabrics!
I just love the fabric and can envision some lovely Amy Butler bags!
Some new window coverings would be nice in our bedroom!
They would make great Table runners:
Fish runners served with Tuna tacos with Asian slaw…. Topped with Shircha aioli. Side of Spanish fries ( sautéed onions and jalepenos and fries).
Flower runners served with 2 hour long breakfast served with Eggs sunny side up (slightly runny) oven cooked bacon (thick slices) with buttermilk pancakes, Maple syrup and butter and sliced Strawberries on top. My favorite coffee, along with smoothly Sunday morning music.
LOVE these ideas!! So fun.
Would be great fabric to recover my bench by our bed. Was just thiking about that this morning. WHAT A TREAT TO WIN
Well, selecting just three complimentary fabrics from the well over two dozen that I LOVE would take days, if not weeks. My living room window is made up of small panes which I want to be able to see. There are mini blinds which can be used at night for privacy. I’m doing the living room and dining room in ultra bohemian with many patterns primarily in shades of blue and I saw DIY curtains online that would be perfect ~ they’re almost like a valance in that you don’t open or close them and they are short in the middle. They alternate three or four patterns that are gathered and taper down gradually until they would reach the bottom window ledge on the sides which would allow the panes to be seen. There would be enough fabric left over to do reversible floor cushions, too.
Thanks for a chance at the giveaway!
So fun! Sounds lovely.
I have a couch with about six cushions on it. I’d love to change them out for something more interesting.
I desperately need some new seat cushions for my dining room chairs so this would be perfect. I love your projects 🙂 X
I love your update to that awesome chair and the window panel, too! Thanks for the introduction to Minted’s fabrics — our throw pillows could use updating and I’ve been meaning to make a cushion for our bay window for years, cute fabric may just be the inspiration I need to finally do it.
That minnow fabric is adorable! I didn’t know Minted did fabric, I only knew about Spoonflower. We’re moving TOMORROW from a 950sq ft loft apartment to a 2000sq ft rowhouse and I need new curtains! We’ve got two kids and I am so excited for the space, but a little overwhelmed by the list of what we need.
Such adorable prints!! Throw pillows for the sofa. Valances in the kitchen. And cloth napkins. That’s just off the top of my head. So many options!
I am looking for something cute to cover our shoe rack by the back door!
I just bought my first home a few months ago and it is an old home (built in 1888). I want to add some fun color and prints and am a huge fan of Minted. I would love to make cushions or curtains to brighten the place up!
I would love to make cushions for my travel trailer with the minnows. They are so cute. Thanks for the giveaway.
Can’t decide between making a new summer quilt or making some more tote bags that I am addicted to right now. Thanks for the giveaway!
Oh what fun prints!!! New homeowner/gardener and I would love to make curtains for guest room or something for gardening with that adorable garden print; maybe a gardening bib/apron. Thanks for the opportunity and the inspiration!
These are so lovely! If think either a teepee for my baby due in June, nursing pillow covers and/or a fitted crib protector cushion. 🙂
What cute fabrics! It would be fun to make two-sided placemats, coordinating napkins, and napkin rings with the fabrics, the challenge would be which ones to select!
Oh my goodness, I love that minnow fabric! I’m a fish person and have it on some old old old dishes my family bought eons ago. I would totally turn it into pillows to put on chairs. I’m so glad you posted about Minted Fabrics. You have such good taste!
I would make some curtains!
So cute. I would make place mats…great for outside summer dinners…..
Little bootie slippers for my toddler and toddler backpack!
I would create drapes for the kitchen window and the laundry room!!!
What fun fabric! Since I spend so much of my time in the kitchen, I think some new pot holders and a matching apron would be great. And this lovely fabric is perfect to brighten and refresh my kitchen for spring. I love a new sewing project!
I would make new pillow covers and valences for our family room. I love fabric but am not a sewer!
Wow, that is a very generous giveaway! Recover the pillows on the living room chair that don’t match or complement anything except each other, maybe make a couple of covers for pillows for the Adirondacks on the veranda, maybe new curtains for the small window bathroom, and maybe a cozy little bed for the brand new little kitty we brought home on Wednesday. Love your sewing nook with the bright window, not to mention your cute explorer. Hope all is well with you.
Thank you, Allison! xo
I’d frame the fabric to hang and brighten my walls and spaces with art! 🙂
