The Best Zucchini Bread? Right this way.

For me Thanksgiving is philadelphia fish house punch with Alice Waters’ potato gratin, freshly baked no-knead thyme dinner rolls, homemade red wine cranberry sauce, stuffing with Bell’s seasoning or kale and cranberries, and Ronnie Hollingsworth’s most excellent squash pie.

In other words, the turkey is optional. I would be happy with a delicious butternut squash lasagna. That said, I love nothing more than leftover turkey (or ham) sandwiches with my grandmother’s mustard sauce.

Here are a few more ideas—Happy Thanksgiving to you friends!

This kale and quinoa salad has a lemony-mustard dressing, dried cranberries that plump with the cooked quinoa, crisp celery, toasted almonds, and goat cheese. It comes together in a snap and has been a welcomed addition to the summer salad rotation. It also keeps well in the fridge for days, making it perfect for lunch-on-the-go or a picnic at the beach. I find it irresistible, and while it's a great side salad, it's nearly a meal in itself. //
