Herbs offer both a freshness and brightness to cooked and raw dishes. I love pureeing herbs into sauces or using them fresh as a finishing element. Here you will find all of my favorite  herby recipes, including this avocado sauce, delicious on toast with soft-boiled eggs, this basil pesto recipe, which you can freeze in ice cube trays for future use, and this schug, a spiced green sauce originating from Yemen but used throughout the Middle East
